Brighton Hove Council is requesting residents to keep clear of certain areas, with detours persistently in effect.
A segment of Kings Road (A259), ranging from the Aquarium roundabout to East Street, and a large portion of Pool Valley have been cordoned off due to potential falling debris amidst the demolition operations.
Both Madeira Drive and the Aquarium roundabout continue to be accessible.
It is anticipated that Pool Valley and a section of the A259 will stay shut for the forthcoming 3 weeks. However, the aim is to reopen the westbound A259 by next week.
Detours are arranged and drivers are advised to use alternate routes such as the A270 to bypass the area to the greatest extent feasible. Signage indicating the diversion routes will be set up.
For those needing the National Express bus service, it can be reached at the Old Steine (stop Z), which is in close proximity.
