Brighton stabbing: Teen charged, three others arrested for attempted murder

A teenager has been charged with attempted murder and three others have been arrested following a stabbing incident in Brighton on Saturday afternoon. The incident, which occurred in Russell Square, left a 16-year-old boy from Croydon with life-threatening injuries. He is currently receiving treatment in the hospital and is reported to be in a stable condition.

The suspects include a 16-year-old boy from Peacehaven, a 14-year-old from Polegate, and two boys aged 14 and 15 from Brighton. All four have been taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder. The 16-year-old suspect, whose identity cannot be disclosed due to his age, has been formally charged with attempted murder and is currently being held in custody.

The remaining three suspects have been released on bail but are subject to strict conditions. The police investigation is ongoing, and Detective Inspector Neil Phillips has stated that they are not seeking any additional suspects at this time.
