“Coronation” Street: Harry takes on Westminster Abbey without Meghan

Buckingham Palace has announced that the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on May 6th, but his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, will not be present. This will be the first time that Prince Harry will be seen with the Royal Family since the publication of his controversial memoir, “Spare.”

Over 2,000 guests are expected to attend the coronation, where Prince Harry will represent the Sussexes. The couple’s representative issued a statement that echoed the Buckingham Palace statement, confirming that the Duke of Sussex would attend the service, while the Duchess of Sussex would remain in California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The news of the Duke’s attendance at the coronation comes amidst rumors of a rift between the Sussexes and the Royal Family. The couple has been living in California since stepping down from their roles as senior royals in 2020. Prince Harry’s memoir, which was published earlier this year, is said to have caused tensions between the couple and the Royal Family.

Meanwhile, the couple’s son, Archie, will be celebrating his fourth birthday on the same day that his grandfather is crowned king, 5,500 miles away. It is not yet clear whether the Sussexes will celebrate the occasion in California or whether they will be able to join in the festivities remotely.
