DAB-dab-doo! Sussex Welcomes New Radio Licences

Radio enthusiasts in Sussex have reason to celebrate as a number of radio stations have secured DAB licences, promising a broader and more diverse range of local and regional programs. Ofcom has announced the winners of the fifth round of small-scale DAB licences, following a competitive process. Licences have been awarded for the areas of Eastbourne, Newhaven and Lewes, Brighton, Hastings, Haywards Heath & Uckfield, and South West Sussex. This expansion will enhance the availability of community radio and stations like Regency Radio and More across the county.

This development is set to enrich the radio landscape in Sussex, offering listeners a greater variety of content and fostering local broadcasting talent. Community radio stations will thrive in designated areas, while some popular stations will now reach audiences countywide.
