On the morning of May 23rd, around 9:45 am, an unidentified individual on a bicycle knocked over a man in his 70s. This incident occurred outside the Blatchington Road Post Office, near the intersection of George Street, resulting in injuries to the victim’s leg and face.
Since that time, ongoing inquiries have included a review of surveillance camera footage in the vicinity. As a result of their efforts, law enforcement officers have identified an individual (depicted in a photo) who they believe was present shortly after the assault. They are interested in speaking with him to determine if he possesses any information that could aid the ongoing investigation. They urge anyone who recognizes him to come forward as well.
The suspect involved in the assault is described as a person between the ages of 20 and 25, standing approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build. They were seen riding a red bicycle.
