The Hilton Brighton Metropole has completed a £26 million refurbishment and rebranded as DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole. The hotel, which is a 4-star hotel and conference center located on the seafront in Brighton, East Sussex, has undergone a complete transformation that encompasses the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, lobby, restaurant, and bar.
The refurbishment includes the creation of a new three-bedroom Presidential Suite and three new King Seaview rooms, which offer stunning views of the English Channel. The hotel’s 1890 At The Met Restaurant has also been refurbished, along with the property’s 24 meeting and events rooms, with the largest space able to accommodate up to 3,000 guests.
The interiors have been designed by Atellior, taking inspiration from Brighton’s art scene and celebrating other noted buildings in the area, such as the Grade II listed Duke of York Theatre, the oldest cinema in the UK, with art deco style cinema lighting and vintage movie posters. The hotel’s color scheme reflects the vibrancy of the city’s colorful houses, beach huts, and ocean landscape, which have been neutralized to include a range of warming pinks, calming blues, greys, and teals to fall in line with the hotel’s contemporary feel.
Other facilities at the 321-room property include a health club, indoor swimming pool, hairdresser, and on-site car park with 200 spaces. The General Manager, Rekha Sohun, said, “We are truly delighted with the refurbishment, we recognize the needs of our guests and want to deliver the best experience possible. We cannot wait for them to enjoy the revitalized décor and elevated design. We have been able to celebrate the history of this iconic property and have enhanced the period features while incorporating an elegant modern interior.”
The DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole is now ready to welcome guests with a warm welcome and signature chocolate chip cookie. With its prime location on the Brighton seafront, luxurious accommodations, exceptional hospitality, and newly elevated design, the hotel is sure to become a top choice for travelers seeking a stylish and comfortable stay in Brighton.
