Huge Meteor spotted in the night sky over Sussex

The Met Office has received reports of a meteor flying over parts of the Uk this evening at around 8pm.

They put out an appeal on social media asking for people to post footage if they spotted it.

One Twitter user replied: “Yes, incredible. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. Massive orange-red ball of fire. Observed for 10 seconds, “
