Man Seriously Injured in Brighton to Hove Train Fight

Train Fight Between Brighton and Hove Leaves Man Injured

Detectives from British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for information after a violent altercation on a train left a young man with serious injuries. Officers have released CCTV images of two men who may have important information about the incident.

The altercation occurred on the night of 13 December 2025, at approximately 11:50 pm, on a train travelling between Brighton railway station and Hove railway station. A disagreement between the victim, a man in his 20s, and another passenger escalated into a fight.

When the train arrived at Hove station, a second man became involved, and the altercation continued onto the platform. Paramedics attended the scene, and the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He has since been discharged and is recovering.

Officers are now working to identify the two men captured in the CCTV images. They are believed to have vital information that could assist the investigation.
