Today no trains will operate in Sussex today due to a Strike by the train driver union ASLEF.
The following days Friday 6 and Saturday 7 January will see RMT back on the picket lines for a further two days of strikes with a very limited service running in Sussex mainly only between Brighton and London from 7 am till just gone 5 pm.
The National advice is to only travel if absolutely necessary and expect severe disruption.
