Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Attempted Rape in Brighton

Victim escapes unknown suspect in early morning attack near St Peter's Church.

Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted rape in Brighton. Officers were called to the grounds of St Peter’s Church after a man was approached and attacked by an unknown assailant at around 6:30am on Saturday, 7 September.

The victim managed to escape the suspect, who is described as having a tanned complexion, long dark hair, and of a large build. He was reportedly wearing a large green parka-style coat at the time of the attack.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are urging anyone who was in the area, saw anything suspicious, or has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
