
Brighton police have arrested five men following a report of rape at a property in the city.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police confirmed that officers received a report on Sunday morning (February 9) from a woman in her 20s, who alleged she had been raped overnight at a property in Montpelier Place, Brighton.
The woman is currently receiving support from specialist officers as an investigation into the incident gets underway.
As part of ongoing enquiries, police have arrested five men on suspicion of rape. The men, aged 38, 32, 32, 26, and 26, remain in custody while the investigation continues.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “Enquiries are ongoing to understand the full circumstances and no further information is available at this time.”
Authorities have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist with the investigation.
