Sheeran-igans on Brighton Beach: Ed Joins Yoga Session

"Photograph" Moment as Pop Star Joins the Fun

A yoga group in Brighton was excited when a man resembling Ed Sheeran dropped in and attempted a pose or two on Brighton beach today – but doubts have since arisen about whether it was really the pop superstar.

The individual, who bore a striking resemblance to Sheeran, joined in with the Yoga on the Beach session, much to the surprise of organisers at the Brighton Yoga Foundation.

The lookalike was also spotted on top of the i360, which had announced earlier on its website that it was closed for “maintenance,” and he was seen doing an interview next to the iconic structure.

Davy Jones, a volunteer with the Brighton Yoga Foundation, shared his surreal experience on social media: “Surreal experience this morning! I was helping with the Brighton Yoga Foundation Yoga on the Beach event next to the i360 when I spotted Ed Sheeran doing a promo shoot on the i360. Got word to him about our class and he came down and (briefly) joined in the class!”

However, Jones later revealed the twist to the story: “Sadly it appears that everyone on the seafront, including the yoga event, may have been conned by Ed’s famous lookalike. The real Ed Sheeran is apparently touring in America. Still, it made for a good story and a bit of fun!”

The incident has left locals amused and slightly bemused, with many reflecting on the unexpected excitement brought by the convincing doppelgänger.
