“We are here!” exclaimed the Seafront Team as they unveiled their lifeguard service to the public. The team is committed to keeping visitors safe and ensuring that their trips to the beaches of Brighton and Hove are enjoyable and worry-free. Months of hard work and dedication from the Seafront Team have gone into designing a service that caters to the needs of beach enthusiasts this summer.

The lifeguards will be stationed at various strategic positions along the coastline, providing vigilant coverage during specified hours. Here are the designated patrol areas where the lifeguards will be on duty:

  • East of Brighton Palace Pier, BN2 1PS: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • West of Brighton Palace Pier [Albion Beach], BN2 1TD: 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm
  • Central Brighton, West Street, BN1 2FN: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • King Alfred, Hove, BN3 2WW: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

To easily locate the lifeguards, beachgoers are advised to keep an eye out for the distinctive red and yellow flags fluttering along the sandy shores. These flags serve as beacons, guiding visitors to the lifeguard stations where they can seek assistance or simply feel reassured by their presence.
