People are starting to line the city steering in the wind and rain waiting the parade that is due to start from Hove Lawns around 11am

Brighton and Hove are once again dressed in a colorful spectacle of rainbow flags and symbols of love, unity, and protest, as the annual LGBTQ+ Pride Parade prepares to kick off today, Saturday, August 5th, at 11 a.m. Our city anticipates a grand display of solidarity and support for the global LGBTQ+ rights.
Continuing the momentum from last year’s resounding success under the theme of Love – Protest – Unity, this year’s parade promises to be a vibrant affirmation of our LGBTQ+ community’s unity and resilience. The theme reflects three crucial pillars of the Pride movement:
Love – a declaration of love for all our LGBTQ+ siblings and confirmation that we will always stand together as a community
Protest – acknowledging that the Pride movement has its roots in protest and committing to continuing the fight for global human rights
Unity – as our hard fought for rights are being eroded around the world, a recognition that our differences make us stronger and commitment to campaign until all are treated equally.
