A man has been sentenced to four months’ imprisonment for a shoplifting spree across Sussex. Adam Gibbs, 33, of no fixed address, was jailed following a series of thefts in Worthing, Eastbourne, and Broadwater.
Gibbs appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on 6 June, where he admitted to three separate incidents of shoplifting. On 4 February, he entered The Range on Ham Road, Worthing, and stole a tool valued at £59.99.
In another incident on 30 March, Gibbs targeted HMV in The Beacon, Eastbourne, where he attempted to steal a selection of vinyl records. Store staff recovered the records before Gibbs could leave with them.
