Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious road collision in the early hours of this morning (February 23). The incident, which occurred on Braybon Avenue, Brighton shortly after 5:20 am, involved a dark blue Ford Fiesta colliding with a parked car and a van.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, where an 18-year-old male passenger was found with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
The other occupants of the vehicle sustained only minor injuries, while the driver, a 19-year-old man, escaped unharmed. He was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving over the prescribed drug limit.
Sussex Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Officers are particularly interested in any dashcam footage that may provide further insight into the incident.
