A teenager has been charged following an incident involving a knife on a Brighton and Hove bus last month, Sussex Police have confirmed.
The disturbance occurred on December 26 in the Elm Grove area of Brighton. Witnesses reported seeing a bus passenger with a knife, prompting a swift police response.
After conducting enquiries, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy on Friday, January 3. He was taken into custody on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in a public place and possessing a Class B drug.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was formally charged with both offences the following day.
He is scheduled to appear in court on February 13 to face the charges.
