Eastbourne Police is seeking witnesses in connection with an incident where a 70-year-old woman was targeted by an object thrown from a passing car. The incident occurred on Monday, May 22, at approximately 5:20 pm near Gelato Famoso Ice Cream Parlour on Royal Parade.
The elderly woman was preparing to cross the road when a small, cream or off-white colored car drove by, and someone from within the vehicle hurled an object in her direction. The object, believed to be a small bottle, struck the woman’s arm, resulting in minor injuries.
Police are urging anyone who was present in the area at the time of the incident or possesses relevant dashcam footage to come forward. Reports and information can be submitted online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 1156 of May 22.
