Bedlam in Telscombe Cliffs as fly-tipping culprit leaves bed on cliff top

In a shocking incident of environmental vandalism, a bed was found fly-tipped on the cliff edge in Telscombe Cliffs, East Sussex

Residents of Telscombe Cliffs were alarmed when they discovered the discarded bed on Friday.

Local authorities were alerted to the incident.

A local resident who posted photos on Socal media said “I’ve reported this flytipping to Lewes DC. I guess the perpetrators were trying to throw all the bed over the fence but were disturbed and left bits on the Esplanade, at the southern end of Sussex Way, Telscombe Cliffs. I hope they get caught and fined”

Fly-tipping is a serious criminal offence for which you can be prosecuted. The courts have various powers available to them to tackle fly-tipping, including imprisonment, unlimited fines and an order to deprive rights to a vehicle used to commit the offence.
