In a sequence of events, an unlucky driver in Sussex had both of their cars seized in a single night. It all began when they were pulled over for lacking proper tax, leading to the immediate impounding of their vehicle due to the violation.
To make matters worse, the night took a more troubling turn when the driver failed a drug wipe test and was promptly arrested. Facing a nightmarish dilemma, they arranged for their partner to pick them up in their second car.
However, fate had other ideas, as the very same vigilant officers stopped the partner’s car for a different reason—the vehicle lacked insurance coverage.
Sussex Roads Police Tweeted “How do you get both your cars seized in one night. You get stopped for no tax which results in a seizure and arrested for a failed drug wipe. Arrange for your partner to collect you in your other car which is then stopped by the same officers as the partner is not insured.”
