Hastings RNLI Lifeboat Station is hosting its first-ever “December Dip,” an invigorating plunge into the chilly coastal waters set for Sunday, December 15th. This festive event aims to raise essential funds for the RNLI’s lifesaving missions and invites community members to experience a memorable dip, all while supporting a vital cause. The December Dip will run from 9 a.m. to noon, with waves of brave participants taking the plunge starting at 10:30 a.m.
The event is open to everyone aged 12 and up, with the only requirement being the ability to swim. However, full immersion is entirely optional – participants are welcome to simply dip a toe into the chilly 11°C waters if they wish. Fancy dress is encouraged, adding a lively and colorful touch to the festive affair. Each participant will be welcomed back with a complimentary hot drink and a sweet treat to celebrate their courage after the plunge.
A Community Event for a Lifesaving Mission
The December Dip is designed as a family-friendly event, offering something for everyone.
