In Eastbourne, a young male has been found guilty of stealing a motorcycle. A Honda moped, taken from Cavendish Avenue between 27 and 28 May, was later retrieved by police on 8 June.
The moped’s forensic tests revealed DNA traces of a 16-year-old boy. For legal purposes, the teenager’s identity remains confidential. He was detained and formally charged earlier this month.
On 23 August, he admitted his guilt at Hastings Magistrates’ Court.
The court imposed a fine of £900 on him, encompassing both surcharges and victim compensation. Additionally, he received a six-month Youth Rehabilitation Order.
