Man Arrested in Hastings Rape Investigation After Public Appeal

Suspect Hands Himself in at Hastings Police Station After Incident on November 30

Jason Wren, 32, of Redmayne Drive, Hastings, has been charged in connection with a rape investigation that began following an incident on Milward Crescent on November 30.

Wren has been charged with rape, attempted rape, and trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence. He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 9.

The investigation was launched after a man, unknown to the woman, forced his way into her home at approximately 7pm. Following a public appeal and release of an e-fit, Wren handed himself in at Hastings Police Station on December 7, where he was subsequently arrested.
