Man Attacked with Axe and Knife in St Leonards Burglary

Police are searching for three suspects involved in a violent home invasion.

ST LEONARDS-ON-SEA, UK – Police are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary on Kenilworth Road in the early hours of Wednesday, 12 February.

At approximately 2:40am, a man in his 40s was assaulted by two men attempting to force entry into his home. One suspect, armed with an axe, struck the victim in the face, causing injuries. The second suspect carried a knife. As they fled the scene, the victim noticed a third individual, a woman acting as a lookout.

Police Investigation Underway

Armed officers responded swiftly and conducted a search of the surrounding area, but no suspects have been located at this time. Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation.

Suspect Descriptions

  • Suspect with the axe: A black man in his 20s, around 6’ tall, of medium build, wearing a black balaclava, black hoodie, and dark trousers.
  • Suspect with the knife: A white man, approximately 35 years old, 5’8” tall, of medium build, with short brown hair and slight stubble, wearing a black hoodie.
  • Female lookout: Around 35 years old, 5’6” tall, of average build, with short brown hair tied back, wearing a baby blue hoodie.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective PC Chris Diamond stated: “While we believe this is an isolated incident, it has understandably caused concern in the local community. We are working hard to establish the full circumstances and identify those responsible. If you witnessed anything or have relevant footage, please get in touch – your information could be vital to our investigation.”
