A cyclist was rescued from Saltdean Beach this morning after crashing from the undercliff promenade. The Newhaven Coastguard Rescue team was paged early in the morning to respond to the incident.
The rescue operation involved multiple agencies, including Shoreham Coastguard, Rescue Helicopter 175, and Newhaven Lifeboat. The teams worked together to locate the casualty and provide medical care with the assistance of the helicopter winchman paramedic.

After being stabilized and packaged for extraction, the cyclist was transported from the beach to the hospital for further treatment.

In the event of a coastal emergency, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. The quick response and coordinated efforts of the rescue teams ensured that the cyclist received appropriate medical attention.
