Night search at Seaford Head ends after five hours

Last night, an intensive search was initiated in the Cuckmere Haven and Seaford Head regions, following reports of a missing person. The Birling Gap Coastguard team joined forces with the Newhaven Coastguard team in the operation.

Adding to the urgency of the situation, Sussex Police units were on scene, and the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter provided crucial aerial support.

After combing the area for a strenuous 5 hours, the teams were stood down in the early hours of this morning
