Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Hastings.
The incident occurred on Pinders Road at approximately 1:20 am on Sunday, December 1, and involved a grey Seat Ateca Xperience and a 36-year-old man.
Investigation Underway
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital. Officers are actively working to locate and recover the vehicle involved and have released images to aid the investigation.
Arrest Made
A 32-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He has been bailed with strict conditions as police continue their inquiries.
Appeal for Witnesses
Police are urging anyone who:
- Witnessed the collision,
- Has relevant CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from the area,
- Or knows the current whereabouts of the Seat Ateca, to come forward.
