On Sunday, 17 December, the Eastbourne volunteer crew delightedly hosted their annual Carols with the Crew event. The crew made a grand entrance on their Trent Class All Weather lifeboat, joining approximately two hundred attendees eager to partake in the festive celebrations.

Carl Pocock, the Lifeboat Operations Manager, warmly welcomed the crowd and expressed gratitude for their presence. He then introduced Father Robert Coates, the station’s padre, who shared a few words before leading the opening carols.

Throughout the event, three crew members added a personal touch by reading poems interspersed among the carols. The gathering reached a high point with an enthusiastic performance of ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas.’ After the carols, attendees had the wonderful opportunity to mingle with the crew, explore the Lifeboat, and learn more about their operations before the event concluded.
