Seaford Cliff Fall Claims Life of Woman in Her 60s

Emergency services called to Seaford Head for concerns over woman's welfare.

Woman in Her 60s Dies After Falling from Seaford Head Cliffs

Yesterday, emergency services were mobilised to Seaford Head due to concerns for a woman’s welfare. The comprehensive response included HM Coastguard, Newhaven Lifeboat, SECAmb, Sussex Police, a Coastguard helicopter, and the KSS Air Ambulance.

Tragically, a woman in her 60s fell from the cliff and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A Sussex Police spokesperson provided the following statement: “Emergency services attended cliffs near Seaford at around 12:30 pm on Tuesday (11 June), due to concerns for a woman’s welfare.

The woman, who was in her 60s, fell from the cliffs and was sadly confirmed deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, but it is not believed to be suspicious at this time.”
