South East Water is pleased to announce that the critical repairs on the water main have been successfully completed, and the drinking water storage tank serving both Newhaven and Peacehaven is currently in the process of refilling.
Residents who faced sporadic water supplies throughout the evening can expect a return to regular water flow shortly.
South East Water said “Our teams will continue monitoring the system overnight to make sure there are no further issues in the area.The bottled water station at Peacehaven Golf Club is now closed and we have completed deliveries of bottled water to those customers who need additional support.
We will continue monitoring the situation overnight and provide an update tomorrow if there are any further issues.”
