In the quiet, reflective hours of November 21, communities along the English coast and beyond pause to remember a solemn anniversary. It was on this day, three years ago, that the scallop dredger “Joanna C” met with a tragic fate, capsizing and sinking in the waters south of Newhaven, taking with it the lives of two dedicated crew members.

Robert Morley, aged 38, and Adam Harper, just 26, were aboard the “Joanna C” on that fateful night, working tirelessly as they had done countless times before in the pursuit of their livelihood. Their loss was not just a blow to their families but also to the close-knit fishing community that knows all too well the perils of the sea.
“Rest in peace, Robert and Adam. Your memories sail with us, always,”
