Two boys, aged 15 and 13, arrested after assault incident in Eastbourne supermarket

Two boys, aged 15 and 13, were arrested on Monday, September 18, following an altercation in Brassey Parade, Eastbourne. The arrests were made shortly after the incident at a supermarket in Broadwater Way.

The boys were taken into custody on suspicion of assault on another boy. As of now, they remain in custody while the investigation continues.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police confirmed the arrests and assured the public that there is no wider threat. “We believe this was an isolated incident which does not pose a threat to the wider public,” the spokesperson said.

In response to the incident, there will be an increased police presence in the area while the investigation is ongoing.

Sussex Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information to come forward. Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to report it to Sussex Police online or call 101 and quote serial 1177 of 18/09.
