Two boys, aged 15 and 13, were arrested on Monday, September 18, following an altercation in Brassey Parade, Eastbourne. The arrests were made shortly after the incident at a supermarket in Broadwater Way.
The boys were taken into custody on suspicion of assault on another boy. As of now, they remain in custody while the investigation continues.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police confirmed the arrests and assured the public that there is no wider threat. “We believe this was an isolated incident which does not pose a threat to the wider public,” the spokesperson said.
In response to the incident, there will be an increased police presence in the area while the investigation is ongoing.
