The Ringmer Christmas Charity Tractor Run celebrated its third successful year this weekend, spreading festive joy while raising funds for two deserving charities. The event, held in East Sussex, supported the Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex and the Rural Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I.), with over 60 tractors joining the procession from Ringmer to Lewes.
The tractors, decorated with dazzling Christmas lights and festive embellishments, created a spectacular sight as they travelled through the local villages. The event was kindly hosted by the Farnes family at Downsview Dairy Farm, serving as the starting point for the convoy. Residents turned out in droves along the route, cheering and offering generous donations to support the cause.
Organisers hailed the event as another remarkable success. “This was the third successful year of our Ringmer Christmas Charity Tractor Run,” they told Sussex News. “We’re so grateful to everyone who lined the route showing their support and donating generously.”
The tractor run has become a highlight of the festive calendar, not only raising vital funds but also bringing the community together to celebrate the season. Both charities play crucial roles in the region: the Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex provides life-saving services, while R.A.B.I. offers essential support to farming families in need.
Thanks to the generosity of attendees and supporters, this year’s event looks set to surpass previous fundraising efforts. The organisers extended heartfelt thanks to the Farnes family for their hospitality and to the many volunteers and participants who helped make the event possible.
