A man involved in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine through a County Lines operation between North London and Brighton has been sentenced to prison. Sean Clayton, 37, of Nuthurst Place, Brighton, was handed a four-year, two-month sentence at Brighton Crown Court on November 29 after pleading guilty to multiple drug offences.
Clayton was linked to the “Loco” drugs line, a network supplying Class A drugs across county borders. His involvement was uncovered through personal phone records, following an investigation by Surrey Police and Sussex Police’s Operation Centurion team.
Investigation Uncovered Drugs Operation
The investigation began after a missing teenager from London was found in Brighton in possession of over 100 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine. This discovery prompted a thorough inquiry by the Operation Centurion team, a joint effort by Sussex, Surrey, and the Metropolitan Police to disrupt cross-county drug gangs.
Speaking on the case, PC Lee Munday of the Operation Centurion team said, “After locating a missing teenager in London in possession of drugs, we launched an investigation. Working with our colleagues in the Metropolitan Police, we were able to demonstrate Clayton’s links to the ‘Loco’ drugs line.”
Commitment to Disrupting Harmful Drug Networks
Clayton was charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin, being concerned in the supply of cocaine, and possession of cannabis. His sentencing highlights the dedication of law enforcement agencies to tackle the harm caused by the distribution of Class A drugs.
“We are determined to disrupt the supply of class A drugs which cause so much harm in our communities,” PC Munday stated. “Clayton has now admitted the charges in court, and we are pleased that an offender has received a significant custodial sentence.”

Established in 2020, Operation Centurion focuses on dismantling County Lines operations by using intelligence to target organised crime groups. By working alongside the Metropolitan Police, the initiative seeks to protect communities and safeguard vulnerable individuals often exploited by drug networks.
