On Tuesday, September 19th, police officers in Kent intercepted a grey VW Polo, discovering a cache of valuable items, including watches and clocks, inside the vehicle. These items were subsequently linked to several ongoing burglary investigations by Sussex Police, which included two separate incidents targeting properties on the same day.
The first break-in was reported around 12:15 pm on Monday, September 18th, at an address in Stoughton. In this instance, designer jewelry and a car key were stolen.
Shortly thereafter, at approximately 2:50 pm on the same day, officers responded to an alarm at a residence in nearby Bosham. It was confirmed that a burglary had occurred, resulting in the theft of jewelry and silver items.
Two days later, on Wednesday, September 20th, a property in Hooe reported the theft of two antique clocks and a Rolex watch, believed to have been taken the previous day.
Following these incidents, two individuals, identified as Lee Ash and Reginald Hill, were apprehended on Tuesday, September 19th. They were subsequently transported to a Sussex police station and have since been charged with three counts of burglary. The investigation was led by a collaborative effort involving the local community investigation team, the criminal investigation department, and the neighborhood policing team.
