Victim Suffers Facial Injuries in Afternoon Assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted and robbed in Northgate Car Park on Wednesday, 5 February.

The victim, a 34-year-old man, reported being attacked by another man shortly before 4pm. As a result of the assault, he suffered facial injuries. Additionally, his mobile phone was damaged, and a quantity of cash was stolen during the incident.

Following an investigation, officers arrested a 45-year-old man from Bognor on suspicion of robbery. He has since been released on conditional bail while further enquiries are conducted.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant information to come forward. Those with details can contact the police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 842 of 05/02.

Police are keen to hear from individuals who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time or who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage.
