25-year-old motorcycle rider dies in collision near Midhurst

A fatal collision involving a van and a motorcycle occurred near Midhurst, and the police are appealing for witnesses and information. The incident took place on Petersfield Road, close to the junction with Woolbeding Lane, at around 10pm on Thursday, June 29.

Sadly, the 25-year-old motorcycle rider from Lavant passed away. A 39-year-old woman from Ceredigion, Wales, was taken into custody on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

The police are asking anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage of the vehicles in the area or any witnesses to come forward. You can report information to Sussex Police online, by calling 101, emailing collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, or quoting Operation Rivenhall.
