A29 Slinfold crash claims life of Billingshurst rider

Tragically, a motorcyclist lost their life in a collision involving a van on the A29 Stane Street near Slinfold, close to Horsham.

The police responded to the incident, which occurred around 7:07 am on Tuesday, October 17th. It involved a grey Volkswagen Caddy.

Despite the valiant efforts of the police and paramedics who immediately initiated CPR, the 66-year-old rider, hailing from Billingshurst, was regrettably pronounced deceased at the accident scene. His next of kin have been informed and are currently receiving the necessary support.

Due to this incident, the road near Slinfold Golf and Country Club will remain closed for an unspecified duration. Motorists are strongly advised to seek alternative routes until further notice, and diversion signs have been put in place to guide them.
