Air ambulance attends two van crash in Ovingdean

A two van crash at the St Dunstons roundabout in Ovingdean has caused traffic disruption in the area. The air ambulance landed in a nearby field to attend to the incident.

According to traffic reports, the A259 Marine Drive at Rottingdean is partially blocked and there is queueing traffic due to the accident.

Buses are being diverted due to the road closure, with Brighton and Hove Buses tweeting that the Coast Road is closed westbound and that several bus routes will be diverted via Falmer Road, Woodingdean and Wilsons Avenue. Some buses are also terminating short at the Sealife center.

The AA has also issued a traffic update stating that the A259 Marine Drive at Greenways is partially blocked and there is queueing traffic on the roundabout due to the crash.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and to expect delays.
