Appeal for Information Following Sexual Assault in Brighton

Witnesses Sought After Woman Followed and Assaulted in Brighton

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman reported being sexually assaulted in New England Street, Brighton, on August 11 at approximately 9:40pm.

The victim stated that a man followed her as she walked near the Sainsbury’s store on New England Street. The suspect is described as a teenager, approximately 5’11” tall, of slim build, and wearing a plain white tracksuit with trainers.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has relevant information, or footage from the area, to come forward. Those with details are asked to contact the police online or by calling 101, quoting reference 231 of 24/08.

Local residents are encouraged to stay vigilant, and anyone with concerns is advised to report suspicious behaviour in the area.
