Appeal for Witnesses After 12-Year-Old Cyclist Injured in St Leonards Hit-and-Run

Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident in Western Road, St Leonards, which left a 12-year-old cyclist injured and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a hit-and-run collision involving a young cyclist in St Leonards.

The incident occurred at around 5.10pm on Friday, 6 June, in Western Road. A 12-year-old boy was riding his bicycle when he was hit by a black Mercedes. The driver failed to stop and left the scene.

Emergency services responded, and the boy was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

Officers have identified and seized the vehicle believed to be involved and are actively pursuing several lines of enquiry. However, no arrests have been made at this time.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision or anyone with relevant dashcam, mobile phone, or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the incident.
