Appeal for witnesses in racial abuse case on city bus

Police in Brighton are seeking information regarding a racially abusive incident that took place on a city bus. The incident occurred while the bus believed to be either number 28 or 29, was in the vicinity of The Level at approximately 4:43 p.m. on Saturday, September 2.

Both the victim and the suspect were seated on the ground floor near the disabled seats during the incident. They are especially interested in hearing from a woman wearing a white top who may have observed the incident.

The suspect, described as a white male in his 60s with a medium build, was in a wheelchair and had a grey goatee beard. He was dressed in a long-sleeved checked shirt, carried a backpack, and wore a bandana over his head to cover his hair.
