APPEAL: Two pedestrians seriously injured in Chichester collision

Authorities are seeking witnesses and pertinent footage following a severe collision in Chichester. Police were summoned to Old Broyle Road, also known as the B2178, near the Pine Grove junction, shortly before 9 p.m. on Sunday, September 17.

The collision involved two pedestrians and a black Ford Fiesta. It is believed that the two pedestrians may have been occupants of a black Toyota 4×4 just before the incident occurred.

Both pedestrians, a 22-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, sustained severe injuries and were transported to the hospital, where they remain.

PC Steve Lambeth, the investigating officer from the Roads Policing Unit, stated, “We are urging anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward. We are also keen to speak to anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the collision or possesses relevant CCTV or dashcam footage.”

Information can be reported to Sussex Police online, via phone at 101, or by emailing collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, quoting Operation Lurcher. Your assistance is vital in aiding this investigation.
