Arrest Made Following Fatal Crash on A21

The collision occurred near Robertsbridge, leaving a motorcyclist dead and a driver in custody.

Sussex Police are urgently appealing for witnesses and information following a tragic collision on the A21 near Robertsbridge.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 10, at the John’s Cross roundabout. The collision involved a white Ford Transit van and a red Honda motorcycle.

Tragically, the rider of the motorcycle, a 38-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed, and police have extended their condolences to the grieving family.

The driver of the Ford Transit, a 32-year-old man from St Leonards, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs. He is currently in police custody.

Officers are conducting a thorough investigation and are appealing for any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward. This includes anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the vehicles in the area at the time of the incident.
