Assault Following Car Crash in Eastbourne Leads to Woman’s Arrest

An investigation is ongoing in Eastbourne regarding an attack on a man earlier today, December 7th. The incident occurred in Wilton Avenue around 11 am, following a vehicle collision. It is believed a weapon was used in the assault.

The victim, found in a nearby property with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, has been hospitalized. A 32-year-old woman from Stone Cross is in custody, suspected of aiding an offender.

Chief Inspector Kara Tombling stated that the investigation is progressing rapidly, focusing on a group of individuals known to each other. Several suspects have been identified, and efforts are being made to apprehend them.

The police presence in the area will be heightened during the ongoing search. The public’s patience and cooperation are appreciated. Witnesses or those with relevant information are encouraged to contact the police online or via phone, referencing the case number 399 of 07/12.
