Breaking: Police respond to serious Barcombe RTC after bonfire celebrations

Yesterday evening (19 November) after a serious RTC at around 10:20PM on Barcombe High Street, local police confirmed that SECAmb treated several causalities at the scene. A Kent Surrey Sussex, Air Ambulance was spotted in the area. This tragic incident came after Barcombe Bonfire Night 2022, which was celebrating 50 years since its reformation. Unconfirmed reports from locals suggest that the collision involved a motorcycle.

Police have remarked that there will be a significant police presence in the area whilst initial enquiries continue and that “Barcombe High Street will be closed for some time”, apologizing for any disruption this may cause. Sussex roads police alongside their traffic investigation unit were seen at the scene in there early hours of Sunday morning.
