CCTV: Spider-Man Mask Suspect Linked to Hailsham Stalking Incidents

Doorbell Footage Provides Key Clues in the Ongoing Investigation

Police in Hailsham are actively investigating a series of unsettling stalking incidents, with the latest reported on December 29, near Western Road. Authorities are urging residents to come forward with information to aid their enquiries into these concerning events.

Masked Suspect Caught on Doorbell Camera

The December 29 incident involved a parcel left outside a property at approximately 7:10 p.m. This marks the third such occurrence linked to the same victim, who has been targeted on previous occasions. Notably, on February 13 and August 26, similar items were left under mysterious circumstances.

The August 26 incident yielded crucial evidence in the form of doorbell footage, which captured a suspect approaching the property wearing a Spider-Man mask. In the most recent event, the suspect again appeared on camera, this time with their face entirely covered.

Public Support Sought for Ongoing Investigation

Authorities have launched “Operation Cursor” to address the incidents and are appealing to the public for assistance. They are particularly interested in CCTV footage, photographs, or eyewitness accounts that might shed light on the suspect’s identity or movements.

Residents can report suspicious activity via an online reporting form or by calling 101, citing Operation Cursor.
