Police are investigating a reported disturbance that occurred on board a TUI flight from Montego Bay, Jamaica, to London Gatwick Airport in the early hours of Monday morning.

The aircraft landed at Gatwick at approximately 7am on March 18, where Sussex Police officers were alerted to an onboard incident being treated as an affray — a public order offence involving fighting or threatening behaviour.

Officers initially detained four individuals in connection with the investigation. All have since been released pending further enquiries, police confirmed.

Appeal for Witnesses and Mobile Phone Footage
Investigators are urging passengers who witnessed the disturbance or have mobile phone footage of the incident to come forward to assist with the ongoing inquiry.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said:

“Officers are investigating an incident on-board a flight from Montego Bay to London Gatwick Airport, which is being treated as affray. Four people were initially detained and have now been released while enquiries continue. We’re appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to contact us.”
