Charities Receive a ‘Flying’ Financial Boost from Eastbourne Airshow Donations

Over £8,000 has been distributed to three regional charities as a result of the successful collection efforts during this year’s Airbourne: Eastbourne International Airshow.

The beneficiaries – Eastbourne Dementia Action Alliance, The Salvation Army, and Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex – each received £2,696.45. The donations were handed over at the International Lawn Tennis Centre in Devonshire Park.

The charities, each receiving 10% of the total £27,000 raised, were represented by their members who were given cheques at the event.

Also present at the ceremony were members from the Rotary Clubs of Sovereign Harbour and Hailsham, who organized the bucket collections during the airshow in August, as well as officials from Eastbourne Borough Council.
