Chichester Car Accident Claims 91-Year-Old Woman’s Life

Tragic Car Accident in Chichester – Public Asked to Assist with Witness Footage

Sussex Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and information following a tragic fatal collision on South Bank, Chichester. The incident occurred around 9:40 pm on Friday, November 1, involving a red Toyota that had left the carriageway. Emergency services were called to the scene, but sadly, the driver, a 91-year-old woman from Southampton, was pronounced dead at the location.

Officers are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. Police are urging anyone with dashcam footage, CCTV, mobile phone recordings, or doorbell footage from the area to come forward. The public can report information to Sussex Police online or by emailing collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, quoting Operation Wigston.

The deceased’s next of kin have been informed. Sussex Police are determined to gather all relevant information to better understand the events that led to this unfortunate incident.
